MARY
DC / CHIROPRACTOR
DR
Dr. Mary King is a chiropractic physician who is proud to serve her community as a family chiropractor. Dr. King graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 2005. She has two active licenses in the states of North Carolina and Arizona. She has served as an Assistant Professor at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences (now Sonoran University) in Arizona for over 7 years, where she taught first-year medical students anatomy, embryology, cell biology, and neuroanatomy. She served Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Paradise Valley, Arizona, for over 10 years with chiropractic care and lifestyle success strategies.

Dr. King utilizes her seasoned skills of chiropractic care and spinal rehabilitation therapy to improve the spinal health and wellness of her patients' activities of daily living. She directs her treatments to establish functional improvements that are designed to reach goals that yield improvement of the specific patient concerns and produce results that keep in mind longevity, organ system function, and overall spinal health. Dr. King takes a "whole person" approach in chiropractic care, which means diagnosing the underlying causes of disease, discomfort, and pain, as opposed to just treating the symptoms. Many seemingly unrelated symptoms often arise from imbalances in the spinal column.
Dr. King has experience treating children from birth to adolescence as well as prenatal and postnatal care. She utilizes the Webster technique as she determines and diagnoses the root cause of the condition that causes dysfunction and creates a personalized care plan to accommodate each patient's individual needs.
Dr. King has served the North Carolina communities since moving to the area in 2016, with her passion to help each patient reach their health goals without prescription drugs or surgery. She is passionate about helping to end the opioid epidemic affecting North Carolinians. She is a member of the NHRMC “Reframe Pain Campaign”, an initiative to end the opioid epidemic in Wilmington, NC, and surrounding areas. Dr. King also serves on the Health Network Solutions Professional Affairs Advisory Board, with a mission to make healthcare more accessible, effective, and affordable, and to review best practice measures within the NC Chiropractic profession.
Dr. King is married to her husband, who is a retired US Marine of over 21 years. They have three young children, Madeline, Magnolia, and Maisie. She has a passion to treat military families with the utmost care to help alleviate the challenges of active duty for both service members and their families.
In Dr. King’s spare time, you can find her at the beach supporting her girls in their surfing and outdoor adventures. She has a passion for road bike cycling, watercolor painting, and playing with their family dog Maverick.
